Abstract:   (35 Views)
Purpose: The present study aimed to identify and validate indicators of agile talent management in education departments.
Methodology: This applied study employed an exploratory sequential mixed-methods design. The qualitative phase used thematic analysis (Braun & Clarke, 2021); through purposive theoretical sampling, 14 regional education deputy directors in Ardabil Province were interviewed until reaching theoretical saturation. The quantitative phase utilized a descriptive-correlational method. The population comprised all 217 employees of the General Directorate of Education in Ardabil Province during 2025–2026. Due to the limited population size, a non-probability census sampling was conducted. Data were collected via a researcher-developed questionnaire derived from qualitative findings. Quantitative analysis was performed using confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) within a structural equation modeling (SEM) framework.
Findings: Overall, the indicators of agile talent management in education departments were categorized and validated under four components: smart empowerment, organizational flexibility, dynamic leadership and a learning culture, and strategic extra-organizational interactions (sig<0.05).
Originality/ value: This study contributes theoretically to the development of the literature on agile talent management in the education system by proposing and validating a context-specific framework. From a practical perspective, the identified indicators provide a basis for assessing talent agility readiness and improving decision-making among human resource managers.
Recommendations: Ultimately, it is recommended that the components of smart empowerment, organizational flexibility, dynamic leadership and a learning culture, and strategic extra-organizational interactions be utilized as a basis for designing talent development programs and continuously assessing the agility level of talent management within the organization.
