هدف: گسترش اینترنت و شبکه‌های اجتماعی، تعداد و سرعت انتقال شایعات برخط (آنلاین) را افزایش داده است. برای انجام اقدامات موثرتر برای مقابله با تاثیرات منفی شایعات، پژوهشگران و سازمان‌ها باید نسبت به سازوکار اصلی انتقال شایعات برخط شناخت داشته باشند. هدف از پژوهش حاضر، بررسی تبادلات کارکنان در گروه‌های مجازی و اعتقاد به شایعه و انتشار آن در فضای مجازی با توجه به رویکرد آبشار اطلاعاتی و قطب‌بندی گروهی است.
طرح/ روش‌شناسی/ رویکرد: به منظور جمع‌آوری داده‌ها از شیوه پیمایشی و تحلیل داده‌ها از نوع همبستگی استفاده شده است. جامعه آماری پژوهش، مجموعه مدیران و کارکنان شرکت نفت پخش فرآورده‌های نفتی استان همدان با حجم نمونه 236 نفر است.
یافته‌ها: نتایج تحلیل مسیر نشان می‏دهد که حجم استدلال‌ها بر سازگاری با استدلال‌ها و سازگاری با استدلال‌ها بر تغییر باور ناشی از استدلال‌ها تاثیر مثبت و معناداری دارد. حجم استدلال‌ها و سازگاری با استدلال‌ها بر اعتقاد به شایعه تاثیر مثبت و معناداری دارند. تغییر باور ناشی از استدلال‌ها بر اعتقاد به شایعه و اعتقاد به شایعه بر قصد انتشار شایعه تاثیر مثبت و معناداری دارند. همچنین، سازگاری با استدلال‌ها نقش میانجی‌گری در رابطه بین حجم استدلال‌ها و اعتقاد به شایعه ایفا می‌کند. تغییر باور ناشی از استدلال‌ها نقش میانجی‌گری در رابطه بین سازگاری با استدلال‌ها و اعتقاد به شایعه بازی می‌کند. اضطراب شایعه نیز نقش تعدیل‌گری در رابطه بین اعتقاد به شایعه و قصد انتشار شایعه دارد.
