Purpose: The present study was conducted with the aim of presenting a digital governance model with the TISM approach.
Methodology: The study was applied in terms of purpose, descriptive-analytical in terms of nature and method, and sequential exploratory in terms of data collection method. The statistical population consisted of experts, managers, and specialists in the field of digital and information technology in industrial companies, especially petrochemical companies. A group of 25 people were considered as the research sample using purposive sampling method and the principle of theoretical adequacy. The data collection tools were interview and questionnaire in the qualitative part and in the quantitative part respectively. To examine the validity and reliability of the data collection tool in the qualitative part, the content and theoretical validity method and intra-coder and inter-coder reliability were used. Also, the validity and reliability of the data collection tool in the quantitative part were content validity and test-retest reliability. Content analysis and coding method were used to analyze the data in the qualitative part with the help of MAXQDA software. Also, the total fuzzy interpretative structural modeling method was used for quantitative analysis.
Findings: The results of the study include a digital governance model in the four axes of digital governance philosophy, digital governance platforms, dimensions of digital governance implementation and its consequences.
Originality: The value and originality of the research lie in presenting a four-level, industry-oriented model of digital governance for the first time in Iranian petrochemical companies. Expanding the theory of digital governance with new components such as structural agility and digital ambassadors, this contribution provides valid empirical evidence to prove the impact of philosophy and platforms on implementation and its consequences.
Recommendations: This research can help identify and analyze key challenges and opportunities in the digitalization process and pave the way for sustainable development and competitiveness in the industry.
