"پیتردراکر" در این مورد می‌گوید: "تأکید مدیریت آینده بر فراگرد تصمیم‌گیری و درک این فراگرد است" با توجه به این واقعیت که مدیریت را می‌توان مترادف تصمیم‌گیری دانست، اهمیت موضوع و ضرورت شناخت درست تصمیم‌گیری و در عین حال نقش زمان در اتخاذ تصمیم‌روشن‌تر می‌شود.</p><p style="DIRECTION: rtl" align="justify">تصمیم‌گیری فرایندی را تشریح می‌کند که از طریق آن برای مسئله معینی راه‌حل انتخاب می‌شود. در واقع تصمیم‌گیری به معنی برگزیدن یک راه‌حل از میان دو یا چند راه‌حل برای عمل است.</p> On of the major responsibilities of managers everywhere is decision- making. In this article, the author describes the different types of decisions that are made by managers, evaluates the quality of such decisions, and finally examines the time limitation factor and its impact on the decision- making process. In the first part, the different levels of organization, which have been divisionalized, are presented as follows: 1- Strategic and operational decisions 2- Strauctural and nonstructural decisions 3- Dependent and independent decisions 4- Major and minor decisions In the second part the quality of the organizational decisions are evaluated. This is affected by such factors as internal and environment, sufficient or insufficient information and the time squeeze factor. In the third and final part, the author discusses the impact of the time squeeze factor on the process of decision- making.
